Making Business Connections at Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT) - Girls' Weekend Trip Review

With Covid restrictions being lifted, and my bestie and I being vaxxed. we jumped at the opportunity to visit and review Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT! Check out my besties stories on IG @abraujewelry to see more fun candid's from our weekend adventure 📸 Read on for an in-depth and honest review!

🎰 Mohegan Sun is a Casino located in Uncasville, CT. It was a 4.5 hour drive from Northern VT

🎰 It was created in 1996 by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut

🎰 The hotel is like a mini city within itself. It boasts two casinos, retail shopping, fine dining, a concert venue, two luxe spas, a pool, fitness center, convention center and even golf!

🎰The lobby of the hotel is breathtaking! It’s high-end with beautiful sculptures, waterfalls and mosaic tile everywhere. It’s huge and can be overwhelming upon arrival, but every employee that we interacted with were very friendly and ready to help us find everything we needed. Check-in was also a breeze.

🎰 For rooms, they have two towers in which to stay—the Earth Tower and the Sky Tower. Heather and I stayed in the Sky Tower on the 23rd floor. It had chic and minimalist decor, two queen beds, a beautiful marble bathroom and a gorgeous view. We saw some guests arriving on a helicopter 🚁 In order to access the hotel floors or the elevators, you need to use your hotel key card, which made us feel safe. I wished they had updated their coffee machines with Keurigs vs standard machines, as I’m a hard core coffee drinker and I didn’t like the in-room coffee option. They, thankfully, had a Starbucks in the hotel but no delivery or order ahead option, so I had to wait too long for my morning cup o’ Joe ☕️😴

🎰 We had facials at the Mandara Spa right on site. The spa still had a lot of restrictions on it still, so the use of the sauna and hot tub was prohibited. We were both very happy with our facials. We wanted massages also, but unfortunately they didn’t have anything available 😭

🎰 I used the gym. They had modern cardio and weight machines, plus an extra room for stretching and spin classes.

🎰 We went to TAO to eat the first night. TAO is a renowned Asian restaurant. We LOVED the lively atmosphere and the amazing decor! Their food menu is meant to be shared, but we were unsure about how much to order. We started with cocktails, edamame, chicken lollipops, a spicy tuna roll, roasted cauliflower and salmon. That was A LOT of food but everything was incredible 😋 At the end we ordered the fortune cookie that was filled with mousse and surrounded by exotic fruits.

🎰 Heather and I aren’t huge gamblers, so we decided to play with $100 and once it was gone we were done. They give you a card that if you stay at the hotel, they’ll give you a free game, plus $10 in free slots. The card also earns you points for discounts. At one point I was up $166! But let’s just say in the end we both lost our $100. We chalked it up to “entertainment money” because it was worth the fun we had!

🎰 The nightlife is really amazing! There are tons of bars and dance clubs within the hotel. We really enjoyed Novelle! Their shrimp and grits were delicious 😋 and the atmosphere was fun and exciting with live music 🎶 and some high stakes tables within the restaurant ♣️

🎰 We would’ve done a lot more retail shopping, but they didn’t have any contemporary clothing stores to choose from. There was a Victoria’s Secret and Sephora, which was more our speed but everything else wasn’t really our style.

🎰 We definitely think that they need to add a nail salon in the mall area, although I’m sure there’s an option for manis/pedis in the spa. It just would’ve been more convenient to be able to schedule an impromptu mani/pedi.

🎰 Overall, we HIGHLY recommend staying at  Mohegan Sun for your next girls’ trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
